Fed Up
Well that´s it now. We are well and truely fed up with the weather up here in the mountains.
Even though we have July, there are no signs of the summer comming here to Teror. It has been foggy all day with rain, and our mood has gone from bad to worse.
We thought that the winter was bad and were looking forward to the sunshine, and some warmth at last. Well it just isnt to be, and when we think that we came to the island for the Sunshine……………… we could have stayed in Germany or England and had the same (except we would have had a decent heating there).
Not only are we fed up and moody, even our Animals are like that. We love the Mountains and the countryside up here, but due to our health, we will have to be looking of moving more to the south. I will be leaving here with one sad and one happy eye when we go.
Thank God we decided to rent at first, until we were sure where we want to live. I would have been kicking myself if we had bought and now would have to try to sell up.
So I will be bussy the next few weeks/months, looking for somewhere more south. I hope we can find something soon, as this is just depressing me.
It is strange how different the weather can be between places on such a small Island.

well, anyone who lives on the island could have told you, and probably has by now, that there is a ‘line’. A line from the airport/telde til Gáldar. You’ll get lots of clouds and rain, and the higher up you go, the colder it gets. Teror is pretty high up in the zone.. So if you want to live somewehere warmer and have more blue skies, start looking from arinaga/vecindario and more south or from agaete and more south. Good luck!

Well we have found out the hard way.
But up until this year, the winters have not been that bad, but even the summer has not come through properly this year. Vecindario, Arinaga etc you can forget, we have lived there and there is far too much wind (9 months in the year) so we are looking even further south. The right property will come at the right time.
